Public Hearing 2026-2030 Consolidated Plan Notice

Wayne County's draft 2026 – 2030 Consolidated Plan and 2026 Action Plan is ready for review and comment. Additionally, a draft of their HOME-ARP Allocation Plan Substantial Amendment is also available for review and comment. All documents can be accessed via Wayne County’s website at:

or in person at the Wayne County Community Development Program offices located at the Guardian Building, 500 Griswold St., Detroit, MI 48226, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

HUD offers these program grants to develop viable communities that provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanded economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income persons. Wayne County anticipates receiving approximately $5,503,030 in CDBG funds, $2,485,509 in HOME funds, and $482,736 in ESG funds for the 2026 program year. The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 provided $10,288,475 in HOME-ARP funds to the County of Wayne to provide housing, services and shelter to individuals experiencing homelessness and other vulnerable populations.

A virtual Public Hearing will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, to afford the opportunity for input to be recorded on the Consolidated Plan and Action Plan for the CDBG, HOME, and ESG programs and the HOME-ARP Allocation Plan Substantial Amendment.
