City of Plymouth: Construction, Election and Recreation Programming Updates

From Your City of Plymouth Municipal Services Department:

Please be aware of several upcoming road and rail construction projects that may impact your commute in and around the Plymouth community.  The schedule of work is subject to change as a result of weather, crew availability, materials, and equipment.

CSX Railroad Closures
CSX will be conducting repairs at four grade crossings. Each closure is a full closure for one week. The schedule is subject to change.

Farmer Street: Starts Friday, September 26th, 2025.

Main Street: Starts Monday, October 6th, 2025.

Starkweather Road: Starts Monday, October 13th, 2025.

Mill Road: Starts Monday, October 20th, 2025.

Central Parking Deck Renovation
 
The upper level will be closed for ramp repairs from late September to mid-October. Limited parking is available, so be sure to check other lots. For more details, check out the Downtown Plymouth Development Authority Website: https://www.downtownplymouth.org/m/newsflash/home/detail/651

Main Street southbound (by Mayflower Building)
Southbound Main Street including the center left turn lane south of Ann Arbor Trail next to the Mayflower building is closed starting Monday, September 29 as roofing crews move to the Main Street side of the Mayflower building.
The project should take approximately 6 weeks to complete, weather permitting. Closures are anticipated to be in place Monday through Thursday during the project. Roads will be open every Thursday evening through Monday morning.

Below is a guide to voting options, deadlines, and public testing for the upcoming election.

Absentee Ballot Deadlines
If you plan to vote by absentee ballot, please adhere to the following strict deadlines:
 How to Receive Your Ballot  Deadline  Location
 By Mail Return your Absentee Ballot Application by 5:00 PM on October 31st.   City Hall
 In-Person  Pick up your ballot at City Hall by 4:00 PM on November 3rd.  City Hall

Election Day Voting

If you miss the absentee ballot deadlines or prefer to vote in person:

Date: Tuesday, November 4th

Time: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Location: Plymouth Cultural Center (All polling locations will be consolidated here)

Public Logic & Accuracy Testing

The public is invited to attend the required testing of the electronic voting equipment that will be used for the November 4, 2025 General Election in all precincts.

This test ensures that the programming used to tabulate votes meets all Michigan election law requirements.

Where: Plymouth Cultural Center, 525 Farmer St, Plymouth, MI 48170

The Plymouth Cultural Center is compliant with the American Disabilities Act and is handicapped accessible.
