Snow Removal

Snow Removal
In adherence to the City of Plymouth Snow Removal Policy, crews plow all snow accumulations of four inches or more. Some years are busier than others – the City plowed seven times in 2014 and only once in 2015.

To help limit the amount of snow that ends up in your driveway after the plow goes through, follow the diagram at the left. Clearing a section of the street along the curb before your driveway will create a place for plowed snow to accumulate, which will reduce the amount that ends up in front of your drive.

Do not blow snow back into the street after it’s been plowed. Residents and businesses must remove snow from their sidewalks within 24 hours.

When the City of Plymouth declares a Snow Emergency, parking is not allowed on any public street. Vehicles parked on the street restrict the ability of the plow trucks to efficiently and effectively remove snow from the street surface. Vehicles left on the street during a snow emergency may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner's expense.
